TCP/IP Illustrated, Volume 2: The Implementation. TCP/IP Illustrated, volume 1,2,3, Pearson education. TCP is one of the two original components of the suite, complementing the Internet Protocol (IP), and therefore the entire suite is commonly referred to as TCP/IP. Richard Stevens teams up with long-time colleague and TCP/IP expert Gary Wright in TCP/IP Illustrated, Volume 2. Book For Practical: “Hands-On Networking with Internet Technologies” by Douglas E. TCP/IP Illustrated, Volume 2 : The Implementation by W. Richard Stevens Bestselling author W. TCP/IP Illustrated, Volume 2 contains a thorough explanation of how TCP/IP protocols are implemented. Comer, Pearson Education, Asia, 2002. Richard Stevens andGary Wright (ISBN: 020163354X). Volume 1 - describes the TCP/IP protocols. Is TCP/IP Illustrated a good one? And if the answer is "YES" what book do you recommend? I know Internetworking by Comer and TCP/IP Illustrated by Stevens are the standard, but I chose the Forouzan book for a couple of reasons. 1) It had an Routing TCP/IP Vol II Internet Routing Architectures Developing IP Multicast Networks MPLS & VPN Architectures MPLS Fundamentals BGP Design & Implementation I've seen that the Cisco QoS Exam Guide and End to End QoS Network Design books come highly recommended, so I will pick those up eventually. UNIX Network Programming, Volume 1 : 2nd Edition by W. Richard Stevens' TCP/IP illustrated. Richard Stevens(ISBN: 0-13-490012-X). 2-After learning OSI model, I heard you have to study the TCP/IP module, now I know that there are some CCNA books like: "CCNA Official Exam Certification Library (CCNA Exam 640-802) (Exam Certification Guide) by Wendell (28 Sep 2007 )", my question is does the CCNA books cover the concept of TCP/IP or do I have to study them before studying the CCNA books?
