Why I Read It: Last year, I attempted to read Sanderson's Mistborn. This is a comment to the webmaster. Elantris is the new free premium wordpress theme from web2feel.com. Elantris is the debut novel from Ranting Dragon favorite Brandon Sanderson. I was about 8 years old when my dad read me The Hobbit, and around 12 when I finished my first read through The Lord of The Rings. He meets his friend Galladon who shows him his library. Elantris was once a beautiful city of marble and light, a city of men and women who had become like Gods. As Sanderson explained on his blog, he wanted the book to be a one-off. Elantris is Sanderson's first book. Elantris is the first novel by acclaimed fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson I've read that I didn't find to be a page turner. It's not that it's a bad book, it's just that I wasn't all that interested in the storyline or characters. He doesn't know it yet but he's cursed. I agree with what he's said in the post, by the way. He and Galladon meet a lady named Karata. A stand alone, a story that could be told in the space of one novel. Elantris starts with a prince named Roaden. Because as a Female of the species I think I have a pretty good idea of what a "female" voice should sound like.
